Abstract art created by Tom Elden is done in a planar, geometric style reminiscent of some of the work of R. C. Gorman. Whereas an artist such as Yosuka Obuse would blur color splashes as envisioned by an Edward Dugmore or John Ferren or Jackson Dembar, Elden goes farther than Louise Ganthiers in making regular the shapes in some of his works, not for the illusion of depth which Jim Wrinkle so loved, but with a blend of the regularity of shape embodied in the work of Tom Holland and the fluidity of expression of Van Gogh.
